The Germans like it in Japan. The Germans from Mercedes-Benz and BMW that is, two companies that keep launching all sorts of limited edition vehicles in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Like this ML350 BlueTEC 4MATIC-based model Mercedes-Benz has just introduced in Japan. Called 1st Anniversary Edition, the SUV celebrates one year since the new ML was launched in the country, and it’s available in only two body colors - Obsidian Black and Diamond White metallic.
The vehicle is offered with an AMG styling package (that includes revised bumpers and side skirts), 20-inch alloy wheels, stainless steel running boards and privacy glass. Inside, Mercedes has fitted the SUV with AMG sports seats and steering wheel, brushed aluminum trim, unique floor mats, and stainless steel pedals.
Under the hood, the special edition ML350 has nothing special, being powered by the standard 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that delivers 258 HP via a 7G-Tronic plus transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
Pricing for the 1st Anniversary Edition ML350, which is limited to only 100 examples, starts at JPY8.6 million, which means around $87,600 at current exchange rates.
