The Mercedes GL is a lot of car for a lot of people, and so it needs a lot of power. Knowing this, the Germans do offer a powerful version called the GL 63 AMG, but even that is not enough for some people.
That's were official AMG tuner Brabus comes to the rescue, offering bespoke features and a power kit that will blow you away. Let's start with the engine first. The AMG model's 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 has been pushed to new exptremes thanks to the 620 PowerXtra package. As the name suggests, this takes output to 620 hp (456 kW), at the same time increasing torque output to 820 Nm (604 lb-ft). Those numbers represent an increase of 63 HP (46 kW) and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) over the stock configuration.

Brabus say 0 to 100 km/h in this seven-seater SUV now takes just 4.7 seconds and top speed is electronically limited… 280 km/h (174 mph).

The German tuner also fitted a body kit to the GL63, one which includes modified bumpers, wheel arch blisters a spoiler and a racy diffuser. Suspension, brakes, wheels and tires have all been updated in order to keep up with the monstrous output of the engine.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
