German automaker Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the GLA Edition 1, which will be available to order from the end of November for about a year after the market launch - scheduled in March 2014.
Based on the Urban version of the GLA, the Edition 1 sports simulated underguard and roof rails in chrome, bi-xenon headlamps, 19-inch AMG wheels finished in high-gloss black, black radiator grille louvre with chrome inserts, black mirrors, black waistline trim strips and dark-tinted windows starting with the B-pillars.
Inside, the GLA Edition 1 comes with nut brown leather and Alvorada fabric seats, three-spoke sports leather-wrapped steering wheel, brushed stainless steel sports pedals, aluminum trim and the Light and Sight package.
The vehicle will be offered with a choice of four engines. Two of them are gasoline units - 1.6-liter with 156 HP and 2.0-liter with 211 HP- while the other two are diesels - 2.2-liter with 136 HP and 170 HP.
