Mercedes Benz is launching the brand new CLS Shooting Brake, revealed at the September Paris Auto Show, onto the Australian market.
The stylish estate is offered with a four-cylinder petrol engine for the CLS250 CDI, which is priced at AUD129,000. This is powered by the 2.1-liter diesel engine, with 204 PS and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) - that’s V6 performance from four cylinders and, we say, the pick of the range.

The other option in Australia would be the CLS350, which comes with a big 3.5-liter V6 naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 306 PS and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. This is priced from AUD173,000.

Both are available right now and are expected to be joined by the mighty CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake in May 2013.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
