Mercedes CL63 AMG and CL65 AMG Pricing Released

Some might tell you that the new flagship coupes from Mercedes-Benz, the CL65 AMG and CL63 AMG are priceless pieces of automotive craftsmanship. While we couldn’t deny the fact that the two vehicles are true masterpieces, we have to delete the “priceless” part, as the German automotive producer has just released the price tags for the cars. We know, this might spoil a bit of the latest AMG story's fun sensation, but we have to report it.

Let’s start with the V8-powered CL63 AMG. Using the new twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter powerplant, the vehicle lets the driver play with 544hp or 571hp (for the Performance package) at 5,500 rpm and 800 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm (900 Nm of torque between 2,250 and 3,750 rpm for the Performance package). The 0 to 62 sprint is dealt within 4.4 seconds, with the top speed reaching 250 km/h (300 km/h for the Performance package).

Now that you know what you pay for, let’s see the price. Mercedes has decided to up the financial game by EUR7,900, offering the CL63 AMG starting from EUR135,100.

The top of the range CL65 AMG uses a 6.0 liter V12 unit that delivers 630hp at 4,800 Nm and a road-wrinkling 1,000 Nm of torque between 2,300 and 4,300 Nm. The car offers the same 0 to 62 mph time as its V8 sibling (4.4 seconds) and offers a top speed of 250 km/h (just like in the standard CL63 AMG this is electronically limited). All these goodies will set you back EUR191,450.
