Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust

Akrapovic has recently played with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, fitting the German supercar with its Evolution Titanium exhaust system. Of course, we have to start with the new sound... let’s put it this way: you can listen to the clip on “repeat” for one or two hours and still not get bored.
Getting to more serious things, we have to tell you that the Evolution system uses link pipes, resonators and a rear muffler. It also comes with tailpipes that can be made of titanium, like the rest of the components, or can use carbon fiber, as well as sound-controlling valves that allow the driver to control the growl of the V8 engine.

The system allows the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated poweplant, which produces 571 hp and a peak torque of 651 Nm(480 lb-ft) in stock form, to develop an extra 12 hp at 5,820 rpm and offers a torque boost of 13 Nm (9.6 lb-ft) at 5,720 rp, while also reducing weight by 12 kg (26.4 lbs).
