Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Reviewed by Motorvision

 Disclaimer: We haven't got absolutely the slightest idea of what the Kojak-looking guy from Motorvision said about the GT-version of the SLS AMG in the following video.

Obviously, it didn't stop us from enjoying the footage with the volume way above normal comfort levels, for two major reasons:
  • One: Motorvision probably have one of the best mic/sound setups of any car testers that shoot videos;
  • Two: The M159 naturally-aspirated V8 of the SLS AMG (GT or not) is one of the best sounding production engines in history.

The snaps, crackles and pops of the exhaust at full throttle are enough to give someone an addiction, so we're not even sorry for posting a video of which we don't understand a single word being spoken.

The GT version of the SLS AMG is simply the first step you take if you're not ready enough for the craziness of the Black Series. With 591 hp instead of “just” 571, 3.7 second from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) instead of 3.8 and a top speed that's electronically limited to 320 km/h (199 mph) instead of the “puny” 317 km/h (197 mph) of the “regular” SLS AMG, the GT model is like a pizza with extra everything. It's still the same pizza, only a bit better and more of it in all aspects.
