With less than a week left until the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe concept will be revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, a batch of sketches depicting the automaker’s flagship coupe have surfaced the Internet.
Compared to the four-door S-Class sedan, the Coupe will sport a more aggressive front fascia with a redesigned bumper and grille, a coupe-specific sloping roofline and a rear end that bears somewhat of a resemblance to the SLS supercar, especially thanks to its thin taillights.
The production version of the S-Class Coupe will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January, while sales are scheduled to commence in March.
Underpinned by the same MRA platform as the all-new four-door S-Class, the luxury coupe is expected to arrive with the usual mix for V8 engine and a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, while a bigger V12 unit should be added after its launch.
