Mercedes-Benz F-Cell World Drive Powered by Linde

Tying the name of your company to an endeavor undertaken by one of the world's leading auto makers can be a very good way to push your business to new heights. And, if the name of the auto partner is Mercedes-Benz, success is virtually insured.

When the German auto maker kicked off its F-CELL World Drive at the end of last month, it failed to mention what hydrogen supplier it would rather do business with on the trip. Now, with the trip well on its way and pretty much everything going according to plan, Linde North America, a gases and engineering company, has announced that it provides the fuel which allows the fleet of B-Klasse F-Cell to trek around the globe.

“Linde has years of hydrogen fueling experience encompassing both stationary and mobile technologies. We are proud that Mercedes-Benz has recognized this experience and our innovative capabilities and has chosen us as their exclusive hydrogen fueling partner for the tour,” said the American company.

The F-Cell World Drive is the means chosen by Mercedes-Benz to demonstrate that its idea of an electric vehicle is as good as the next one. As it happened with most of the EV launched over the past few years, a world tour is perhaps the single best way to impress possible future owners.

In Mercedes-Benz's case, the tour will take the three B-Klasse models across four continents and 14 countries in 125 days (because Daimler is celebrating this year the 125th anniversary of the creation of the first Benz car).
