A few weeks ago we told you about the Brits from WhatCar reviewing the first front-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz sedan in history, the eye-catching CLA. Now its time for another CLA review by a bit more serious British bunch called “Which?”.
The “four-door coupe” in Mercedes-speak got a mildly positive review of most of its attributes, with the emphasis put more on the technical bits and less on the soul factor.
The downsides were represented by the not-so-great headroom in the rear - which is a direct consequence of the sexy, sloping roofline - the rather small opening for the more than-ok luggage compartment – again, a direct consequence of the car's design, in this case, the taillights – and the standard front wheel drive, which doesn't provide the same sportiness and steering feedback compared to a rear-wheel drive C-Class, for example.
The upsides were of course the car's gorgeous exterior and interior design and the large amount of standard features both from a comfort and safety point of view, areas in which Mercedes-Benz has always excelled in, traditionally speaking. Take a look at Which?'s YouTube review below for yourself and see what you make of it.
