It's been a while since we heard some news from German tuner, Hartge. All this time, it seems like the company was working on a tuning program for the xDrive30d model out of the F25 X3 line-up.
Their take takes the 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine up from 258 HP and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque up to 309 HP and 670 Nm (494 lb-ft) of torque. That's a gain of 51 HP and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque using a plug and play device.
Furthermore, as usual, Hartge even created a video, showcasing the new attributes of a BMW F25 X3 fitted with the device. The readings showed that the acceleration from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 200 km/h (124 mph) was greatly improved.
The stock car did it in 25.42 seconds, whilst the Hartge version managed to shave 4.28 seconds off that time, doing it in 21.14 seconds.
