As we were mentioning in pretty much all the other Mercedes-Benz CLA reviews we've been posting lately, the model has been taking the American automotive media and public by storm ever since its launch at the end of September.
Bringing its fair share of novelties, the most important points of discussion about the car in the US have been mostly revolving around its rather hard to beat $29,900 starting price.
That amount of money (plus destination charges) represents, believe it or not, the entry-gate into the Mercedes-Benz kingdom in the United States. No other three-pointed star model from the current lineup can be had for less money in America, which obviously makes it a rather interesting proposition.
Details like the fact that its design evokes its larger CLS brother or the fact that it currently holds the record for the most aerodynamic production car in the world are also part of its bag of “interesting bits”.
The New York Daily News had a go in both the CLA 250 base and the CLA 45 AMG, but was apparently more interested in the base model than the hardcore AMG, so they wrote a review about it.
