Even though the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has just been publicly premiered today at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, there have been some pre-production versions of the car ready for test driving for quite some time now.
The lucky buggers from AutoBild were one of the few media outlets out there who got the chance to jump in one of those pre-production prototypes.
Doing so, they also pitted it against its main German rivals, which have historically always been the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4.
On its part, the new C-Class W205 is the lightest, most aerodynamically-efficient and most technologically-advanced car in its segment, while the materials used in the interior also make it the nicest to sit in and touch.
The AutoBild testers seem to approve the above statement, with the winner of the three-way comparison obviously being the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
We are now waiting for a true back to back comparison between the three in the real world, where the new C-Class should hold its own even better.
