Just like their parent company, 2013 was the strongest year in history for Mercedes-AMG GmbH, with no less than 32,200 AMG vehicles sold throughout the year.
“We are looking back on the company’s strongest year ever,” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH. “This extraordinary growth has exceeded even our own expectations. It shows once again that with our “AMG Performance 50” growth strategy, we’re on the right track. It’s a strategy we will continue to build on.”
Obviously, the biggest growth in sales was sustained by the arrival of the new MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform models, with both the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG and the newer CLA 45 AMG selling like gangbusters in pretty much every market they entered.
As far as product development goes, 2013 also saw the arrival of the S-Model versions of the E 63 AMG and the CLS 63 AMG, while the second half of the year made headlines with the help of the S 63 AMG and the S 65 AMG.
Overall, compared with 2012, Mercedes-AMG GmbH had growth of around 20 percent in the US, 10 percent in Germany, 40 percent in the UK and 25 percent in China.
