After slightly too much teasing for our liking, the peeps from Affalterbach finally unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT earlier this month and boy it's a good-looking machine. But we're a tad disappointed in the limited exterior color palette the German two-seat bruiser will be available at launch early next year.
On September 9th, right after the launch event in Germany concluded, Mercedes has provided us with the official photo gallery of the AMG GT and GT S. As such, only three finishes were showcased – the poisonous yellow we've seen on the SLS AMG Black Series, a metallic silver hue and a bright red finish. In addition to those, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer posted on its official Facebook page five further hues.

These colors are a brighter shade of silver, a snowy white finish, a cool candy apple red, menacing gloss black and our favorite – an electric blue exterior color. Still, we do hope there's more in store once the configurator goes online, including lots of options for the cabin design. Slated to hit showrooms early next year, Mercedes-Benz will first offer the more powerful AMG GT S (510 ponies and 650 Nm of torque).

As it happens and God knows why so, Mercedes-Benz decided to start selling the less powerful AMG GT with its 462 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque in early 2016. Both AMG GT variants are powered by the M178 4-liter biturbo V8 that's coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing? Well, nothing's official yet, but word on the street tells to expect around €100,000 / $130,000 / £80,265 for the full-on GT S.
