Men Feel They Drive Better than Women

Of course, the above statement is not something most of us didn't intuitively know already, but this time we have proof. A study conducted by OnePoll.com found that men are pretty much scared when their female partners are driving the car and about 10 percent of them felt the need to grab the steering wheel to correct the path of the car, while another 10 percent asked their spouses to pull over and let the man take charge of the car. Why is that?

“Most men feel they are better drivers than the women in their lives. They believe they concentrate a lot better, read road situations more quickly and clearly, and have better reactions,” a OnePoll.com spokesman told WhatCar? “One in five even went as far as to say they were never able to relax when their other half is driving.'

The study also showed the top ten complaints man have when it comes to women driving. The number one such complaint is the partner's lack of concentration behind the wheel, followed by their habit to brake a bit too late.

Flicking the accelerator, not avoiding rumble strips and driving too close to the other cars complete the top five. Men also loath the fact that women brake too hard, play with the car's stereo, drive too fast and like to drive in the middle lane too much.

Earlier this week, another poll showed that most of the in-car arguments come as a result of the partner's poor choice of routes and lack of sense of direction.
