Introducing the first of the rest of the Erik Buell's bikes, here's the new 1190RX, the more streetable and affordable version of the premium RS machinery.
The 2014 EBR 1190RX is the first of the new line-up Erik has been working on, after receiving support from both financial funds and bringing in India's Hero as a partner.

With 185 HP max,@ 10,600 rpm the 2014 EBR 1190RX is definitely not a toy, and neither its 101.6 ft-lbs. @ 8,200 rpm (137.8 Nm) torque is to be treated lightly. The bike however comes with a traction control system which offers 21 assistance settings, Showa BPF USD forks and a direct-mount (no linkage) Showa rear damper.

Interesting as the two cooling air intakes look on the front brake, we kind of expected a dual-disc array. If Erik went for the single 386mm one and a 220mm rear rotor, maybe he knows more on this. However, we just don't buy the single-disc front brake on the track...

The price for the 190 kg (419 lb) is indeed decent, compared to many of Buell's other street machines: $18,995 (€), and it comes in Strike Yellow, Racing Red, and Galactic Black. Quite a nice ride!
