The world now has one less McLaren 12C Spider, with an example of the supercar having been totaled in a brutal Los Angeles crash - the exact location of the crash is close to the Hale Charter Academy at the junction between Califa and Platt Avenue.
The accident took place yesterday in Woodland Hills, with the local police expecting street racing to have led to the accident.

At least two other vehicles were involved in the crash. The first is an Audi, that was also badly damaged and which remained next to the destroyed McLaren, while the second is a black sedan that fled the scene despite having also sustained damage.

While there's no clear info on the four-door that left the accident scene, the vehicle is believed to be a Dodge Charger.

Both drivers (Audi and McLaren) were taken to the hospital, with reports on their condition being unclear - while some reports talk about certain injuries, there's no solid info on the matter.

Based on witness reports, it was estimated the McLaren was doing over 60 mph when the accident took place - for the record, the area where the crash took place has a speed limit of 25 mph.

As you'll be able to see in the video at the bottom of the page, the entire front section of the McLaren was destroyed, but the engine doesn't seem to have been directly touched by the impact - while we're talking about the part of the supercar that didn't take a direct blow, you should also notice the machine's Air Brake, which remained locked in deceleration position.

The piece of footage below allows you to check out the aftermath of this violent crash. And while the clip is obviously focused on the McLaren, you can also see the damaged Audi in the background.
