While McLaren is busy lapping the Nurburgring in the P1 and teasing us about this, fans have some P1-related work of their own to do, with the hypercar recently being rendered in Violet.

The hue you see here is said to be inspired by Viola Ophelia, a shade that comes from Lamborghini. However, the P1’s digital color has more pink accents, so the link to Lamborghini’s color is a bit of a far stretch.

Nevertheless, the color creates a strong contrast with the exposed carbon fiber bits of the P1, making the hypercar look even more menacing that it already is. The adjacent images allow us to see what happens when such an extreme vehicle receives a set of clothes that are just as extreme.
