McLaren is currently working full throttle to develop a version of the MP4-12C that allows its occupants to enjoy the fresh air and now new details on the MP4-12C Spider have surfaced.
As you know, McLaren has made an obsession for carbon fiber and so the company wants to use the same material for the retractable roof of the future supercar. According to Auto Motor Und Sport, the McLaren MP4-12C will use a system that is similar to that found on the recently-introduced Ferrari 458 Spider.

The roof will flip backwards and subsequently be pulled into an opening placed between the passenger cell and the engine bay. It’s interesting to see how McLaren will work with the carbon fiber structure of the car in order to give the spider the handling we all expect from it.
