McLaren MP4-12C Spider Presented at Pebble Beach

McLaren is hot on the heels of Ferrari with its very own British-designed convertible supercar, the MP4-12C Spider. The car enjoyed its US debut at Pebble Beach where Brian Zuk recorded this walkaround video of the car.
We have to say that the design of this car might just be a little better than the 458 Spider. First off, the car is a bit lower, but also looks stunning in his refreshing yellow color.

Since the Spider is a 2013 model year car, McLaren jumped it straight to 625 PS (616 hp), an amazing number considering it’s only got a 3.8-liter V8 with twin turbos.

I am really excited to announce that the new 12C Spider is now available to order at new McLaren retailers worldwide. The launch of our second model is an exciting milestone in the growth of our company. While the 12C is the technological essence of a race car, the 12C Spider incorporates an additional dimension,” said Antony Sheriff, McLaren Automotive Managing Director.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
