McLaren has big plans this year and for the following ones too. They are currently in the process of reinventing themselves, launching more models than ever, in an attempt to get as many customers as possible, from more demographic layers.
That being said, the Brits are no longer a one-trick band but now have a couple of aces up their sleeves. Apart from the iconic F1 successor, the P1, they also have the 650S, Sports Series and 675LT models on sale. The last one is the primary focus of their most recent video.

The 675LT is a variation of the 650S and it brings back the nomenclature once used for the F1. The LT in the nameplate is a reference to the design of the rear end of the car. It stands for Long Tail and it makes a big difference according to McLaren.

As you probably guessed by its name, the 675LT also has more power than the 650S it is based on, 25 HP more to be precise and it’s lighter by around 100 kg (220 lbs). Those two attributes make the 675LT faster than its brother, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, going up to a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

According to the Woking-based manufacturer, you can’t get a 675LT anymore. When the car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the Brits did say that only 500 units will be made and, guess what? They are all accounted for!

However, since the production is just kicking off, you already know that no owner is already driving it on public roads so we’re safe for now from drooling on the street.
