It is so rare to see classic American motors from the 50s, outside the US, but when you do, take a good look, as it is very unlikely that you’ll ever see one again. We recently spotted this excellent 1954 Chevrolet Pick-Up with a matte-black wrap and yellow wheels, parked on a side street, in Bucharest.
The owner was definitely into a rat-rod kind of look which was successfully achieved with the all-black matte exterior finish. Even the front grille which some owners prefer to have chromed (even if very few of these had it as standard) is wrapped in matte foil. However, while yellow-painted wheels look OK, we say they should also get the matte black treatment, to finish off what is a very tidy-looking car.
We hope to see more of these stunning cars, but we know we won’t get a chance to, in the near future, considering the fact that this is the first one we’ve ever seen on our home roads - ever.
