Maserati Hosted Salon Prive Ladies’ Day

Lady Maserati clients received a special treat last week for the second year in a row, when the Italian automobile manufacturer hosted the Salon Prive Ladies’ Day at London’s most exclusive Club, the Hurlingham. The event was also attended by the Maserati ambassador and supermodel Jodie Kidd and the milliner Cozmo Jenks.

But before arriving at the Hurlingham Club, the day started with a stop at Rene Caovilla’s store on Old Bond Street, where the ladies were treated with a private preview of the Autumn Winter 09/10 shoe collection and with an eclectic selection of Cozmo Jenk’s hats.

The ladies were then chauffeured to the Hurlingham Club in a fleet of Maserati Quattroportes and GranTurismos, taking part in the “Best Dressed Lady” competition, while enjoying the latest creations from the Trident Marque, the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS, flanked by the GranTurismo S and the GranTurismo S Automatic. The Summer Ball successfully ended the day, raising several thousands of pounds in aid of the Prince’s Trust.

Speaking of the new Maserati models, the Quattroporte Sport GTS, priced at £89,865 ($147,855), features the new V8 4.7 liter engine with increased power output (440 horsepower), specific gear-shifting software, front and rear suspension with single-rate dampers and a sports exhaust controlled by pneumatic valves.

The Maserati GranTurismo S, priced at £88,005 ($144,795) is also fitted with the new 440 horsepower V8 4.7 liter engine, electro-actuated gearbox with fast MC Shift, trans-axle layout, sporty exhaust and brakes. Able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, the coupe reaches a maximum speed of 183 mph, the highest ever reached by a standard production Maserati.

Thanks to the combination of the 4.7l V8 engine with the ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox, the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic, priced at £84,395 ($138,855), fitted with Skyhook suspension system featuring continuously adjustable dampers provides great driving comfort.
