A certain cameraman had a very bad day at the German F1 Grand Prix this weekend, where he was struck by a rear wheel that came off Mark Webber's car.
The troublesome wheel flew off the right rear axle of Webber's car during a pit stop just eight laps into the race, and rolled off through other garages to bounce into a cameraman that was looking the other way.
Knocked down, the British cameraman was taken to a hospital in Koblenz by helicopter, where he received treatment for a broken collarbone and ribs, the FIA announced, adding that Red Bull Racing was fined 30,000 for an unsafe pit release.
Getting back to the race itself, the German Grand Prix was won by Webber's team mate, Sebastian Vettel, who was following by Lotus-Renault's drivers, Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. The top 10 was completed by Fernando Alonso (Ferrari), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Jenson Button (McLaren), Mark Webber (Red Bull), Sergio Perez (McLaren), Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) and Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber).
