Marina Malafeev Killed in Car Accident

This is not a pretty sight, we know. Unfortunately, the pictures only tell half (or not even that) of the story, so that's why the words you are reading are here. Going back to the image, we must tell you how the Bentley Continental GT got in this unfortunate situation.

According to CarLifeBlog, the vehicle was being driven by Marina Malafeev, the wife of Vyacheslav Malafeev, the Russian football club Zenit St Petersburg ‘s goalkeeper, on a road in St. Petersburg. The 36-year old woman lost control of the car, with the consequences being tragic.

The moments that followed were a violent rush that saw the vehicle sliding into a snow embankment, roll over and hit a billboard, as well as a tree. Unfortunately, she was killed in the course of the aforementioned events, with the passenger sustaining severe injuries.

An exact report on the accident has not been made public yet, but it seems that the blame falls on the driver. This is because it is reported that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of over 100 mph (160 km/h) when the accident happened. And the story only gets worse (if this was possible), as it seems that alcohol played a role, while neither of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

As you we can all see once again, no car, regardless of its safety level and price, can protect you. Pushing the limit, especially during hazardous driving conditions can have devastating consequences.
