We are pretty sure most of you remember the now famous "To the Airport" Pepsi Max commercial, you know, the one with the monkey playing the role of a taxi driver. Well, a dog tried a similar stunt, only this time for real.
Christopher Bishop, a Ford F-150 truck owner was out on Sunday night, working on his Built Tough machine. Having to check for oil leaks before taking off, Bishop was forced to get under the vehicle. Unfortunately for him, he forgot to close the driver's door (coincidence no. 1) and left the engine running (coincidence no. 2).
It took Bishop's dog, a bulldog named Tassey, only seconds to notice his masters' mistake. We all know dogs love cars and it's only obvious a bulldog would love an F-150, so the logical next step for Bishop's canine friend was to hop into the front seats and begin, probably, chasing his tail.
While doing so, the dog accidentally knocked the car into gear (truth be told, we fail to see how the dog could accomplish that). The pick-up was conveniently placed on a small downhill (coincidence no. 3), with a big enough of inclination to cause the F-150 to start moving and run over Bishop.
Bishop apparently managed to get up after being ran over and had enough energy left in him and run after the Ford, stopping it right before hitting a fence.
According to tampabay.com, Bishop's injuries seemed minor at first. Only several hours after the incident, the man thought to call for help, as the pain in his body was increasing. He told deputies he waited that long because he didn't like doctors.
