Chevrolet’s European marketing teams might be losing a famous touring car team, but they are going to benefit from the arrival of a brand new flagship model. No, it’s not the Camaro, it’s the 2013 Malibu sedan.
This is going to be a car of two firsts: the first global midsize sedan for Chevrolet, the same from Australia to the UK, and the first Malibu to be sold in Europe.

In Europe, the longest Chevrolet on sale will come with your choice between a 167 hp 2.4-liter petrol engine with standard Hill-start Assist and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 160 hp.

"Malibu is Chevrolet's new flagship for Europe and one of ten new entries launched in just 18 months," said Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe. "It is a great-looking car that offers customers unique American style, refinement and five-star safety."

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
