M1nsk is trying to make a comeback in the motorcycling world and now offers a decent line-up of modern motorcycles, from which the R250 stands up. It's not a very common thing seeing a sport bike emerging from the ashes of a former soviet manufacturer!
Under new ownership and management, the old factory changed a lot, and the R250 is probably one of the best proofs. The quarter-liter single shows quite a nifty attire, with modern, edgy lines and an aggressive, track-ready look.

The single delivers 26 hp @8,000 rpm, with unspecified torque, and is mated to a manual 6-speed transmission. The bike has an electric starter, and single-disc brakes, 300mm in the front , 200mm in the back.

M1nsk says that R250 can do 145 km/h (90 mph). The figure is rather doable with a light rider, as the dry bike weighs in at 123 kg (271 lbs).

We spotted the M1nsk R250 for sale online for around $4,630 (€3,390). Not exactly expensive, still, with its reliability to be put to the test.
