Luxgen, World Debut in Dubai

The first ever Taiwanese auto brand, Luxgen, found the necessary strength to announce its existence by taking  no less than 4 unique vehicles to the Dubai International Motor Show, scheduled for release in 2010. The four vehicles are Luxgen EV+ (the world's first 7-passenger electric vehicle), Luxgen CEO (luxury executive transportation vehicle), Luxgen MPV and the Luxgen7 SUV.

The really cool part about them is not their on-road performance, but the state-of-the-art technologies incorporated in them. Remember Armageddon's "Russian parts, American parts, they're all made in Taiwan!" catch phrase? Well, they're made in Taiwan for a reason.

The cars use Think+, a system which combines HTC smart technology and Windows CE Automotive interface. It consist of video and audio entertainment, telecommunication, GPS navigation, safety alerts, owner exclusive applications and system settings.

In addition, they are all equipped with Eagle View+ (a 360 degree surround imaging system), Night Vision+ (light-enhancing forward-looking camera system), Side View+ (Blind spot Monitoring System nod LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System).

"HTC is proud to partner with Luxgen to create a new generation of intelligent vehicles. We have worked with Luxgen to develop a sophisticated Think+ system designed to 'think ahead' of the drivers to achieve a new level of road safety," Peter Chou, HTC CEO said in a release.

The luxury cars will be available initially in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC). Both the MPV and the SUV will be retailed, while the Luxgen CEO will be built-to-order.
