LS2 Helmets announces the introduction of Stream, the newest addition to the full-face line-up for 2015. The LS2 Stream is a lightweight helmet with a composite shell mimicking the low mass of carbon fiber helmets and the affordability of the casual thermoplastic ones.
The shell is manufactured from LS2's proprietary HTPP composite material that offers both protection and can be easily shaped into an aerodynamic form that reduces fatigue. 3D laser technology is used to cut cheek pads from a single piece of foam. The pieces are cut to perfection and the hot spots eliminated, further reducing the discomfort riders sometimes experience with certain helmets.
Stream also arrives with a quick-release chin strap and toll-less quick-release face shield for easy swapping to a different one on the fly. The helmet meets of exceeds the ECE and DOT requirements and comes with a long oval fit.
No detailed tech specs have been offered so far for the LS2 Stream helmet, unfortunately. However, the price was announced and it is a really neat one, considering you're getting real LS2 tech for $130 (€120).
An optically correct visor helps increase safety
On the inside, the Stream is lined with a moisture-wicking technical fabric and the whole interior can be removed and washed. LS2 Stream also sports the Twin Shield System drop sun visor which can be lowered and raised with ease. The face shield is optically correct and treated for scratch resistance while being ready to accommodate a Pinlock anti-fogging lens (not supplied with the helmet).Stream also arrives with a quick-release chin strap and toll-less quick-release face shield for easy swapping to a different one on the fly.
