Lotus Reveals New Elise SC Special Edition

Automotive enthusiasts around the world have received a pure driving gift from Lotus, who has recently introduced a facelifted version of the Lotus Elise. However, it looks like some nations “are more equal than others”, as Netherlands will be the first country to receive the special edition Elise SC.

The model is dressed in a matte white paint, which contrasts with the car’s details that are finished in black. At the rear of the vehicle, Lotus has installed a new exhaust tip that uses an oval design (instead of the dual round standard one) and a spoiler that follows the line of the body.

In addition to that, the car has received a new set of black 12-spoke alloy rims. The special edition also comes with ‘SC' logos featured on the rear fascia and seats.

The Elise SC employs a 1.8 liter engine that uses a supercharger and Variable Valve Timing & Lift intelligent system to deliver 220 hp and 156.2 lb-ft of torque, allowing the car to leave the 62 mph mark behind in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 233 km/h.

The facelifted Elise uses the design language introduced by the Evora coupe, featuring a new front bumper that incorporates large air intakes. It also uses redesigned headlights, which come with LED daytime running lights. The vehicle has also received a fresh rear bumper, a rear diffuser and engine cover. The redesigned Elise has a four percent decreased drag coefficient.
