Now that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 has been unveiled, with an official launch to take place in two weeks time at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, people have already began questioning about the number of versions that the model will receive.
We already know that there will be a C-Class Wagon, a Coupe and Cabriolet model in the pipeline, with a fifth unknown model purportedly aimed at the BMW 3-Series GT and the Audi A5 Sportback (though we're secretly crossing our fingers for a CLS/CLA-like four-door coupe).
A sixth model has been officially confirmed by Mercedes-Benz also, with a stretched version of the C-Class to be developed specially for the Chinese market, where having more rear-legroom is seen as a sign of respect for your passengers.
“There will be a long-wheelbase version for the specific needs of Chinese clients. This car will be built in China, exclusively for that market,” said Thomas Webber, the head of development at Mercedes-Benz, as quoted by Reuters.
