London City Airport remains loyal to Toyota, as it recently purchased three new Hilux models to replace the old ones, demonstrating how reliable these vehicles can be.
Just like their older siblings, the new Toyota Hilux pickup trucks will offer great airside support for the facility. The vehicles will be used to carry out various activities required around the perimeter and they will also be used in case of some emergencies.
That is why they are fitted with some special equipment, such as extra lights, sirens to scare off pesky birds, communication equipment and they will also have their sides painted in a yellow and orange checkered pattern to be easily noticed by aircraft pilots.
The three Hilux models were supplied through the Business Centre at Hills Toyota Woodford, which will also be responsible for the pickups' maintenance.
