With the 2014 Toyota Corolla set to be unveiled sometime before the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, some information has recently surfaced on the Internet, offering technical specifications for the vehicle.
Based on an order guide from a dealer’s website, the new compact sedan Corolla will be powered by the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, but it will feature Toyota’s Valvematic system (continuously variable valve timing and lift system). Bolted to the power unit, the four-speed automatic transmission will come by default, but the car can be ordered with a new six-speed manual gearbox as well as a CVT for higher trim levels.
The new Corolla will feature design cues from the awesome looking Toyota Furia Concept an the Camry, and it will come in four versions: base, LE, S and Eco.
