But there is more! Lexus also plans to introduce its first turbocharged petrol engine as a step to modernize and increase its powertrain selection.
A 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder expected to produce 250 horsepower is rumored to enter production. It will be used as a base engine for the Lexus mid-sized entry-level vehicles in the range.
A turbocharged 2-liter was talked at the 2012 Paris Motor Show while a report from Automotive News confirmed the new powerplant’s feasibility due to its fuel efficiency and improved output as against the actual 2.5-liter AR engine in the range.
