Already running for two years, the Lexus Design Award is an international competition that has been targeting future innovators from around the world, offering designers the opportunity to create amazing projects to be displayed at Milan Design Week, the most important international event for the design industry.
This year at Milan, Lexus is hosting the “Lexus Design Amazing”, an exhibition featuring three new works created by world-renowned designers, as well as a display of winning works from the second Lexus Design Award.

Stepping inside, the first floor of the studio in central Milan’s Circolo Filologico Milanese features three works on the theme “Amazing in Motion”, a mantra you can also see in many of Lexus’ vehicles commercials and other promotional materials. The fine works were specifically created for this event by three international designers - Fabio Novembre (Italy), Nao Tamura (Japan) and Tangible Media Group from MIT Media Lab (US) - aiming to deliver an amazing experience and challenge visitors to imagine the future possibilities of design.

Going up to the second floor, you’ll encounter the twelve winning works from this year’s Lexus Design Award revolving around “Curiosity”, which challenged entrants to approach their works in as creative and innovative as possible. The exhibit features two finished prototypes alongside panel displays of the other ten winning projects.

In case you want to see these fine works in real life, the exhibition is held until April 13th at Circolo Filologico Milanese, Via Clerici, 10, 20121 Milan, Italy.

UPDATE: Lexus just posted these three videos showing off the three winning works. So in case you want to know more about the concepts behind each one of them, check them out in the playlist bellow.
