Lexus LS460, Lorinser's First Asian

Strange things happen in the realm of tuning... As we told you earlier today, Japanese manufacturer ASI decided to give its best shot at creating a Ferrari F430 tuning kit. If they managed or not, you can see here. This time, we come back on new tuning experiences to present what came out of German tuner's Lorinser shot at Japanese built Lexus LS460.

Being used to high end vehicles, given the fact that they usually work on Mercedes Benz vehicles, Lorinser must not have had a hard time with the LS460. Especially because they only created, so far, only a body kit for the Lexus.

As in any body kit, the one for Lexus boasts a revised front apron and spoiler, as well as Lorinser side sills, which go directly into the door joint. At the back, the tuner developed restyled rear wing, mounted on the boot lid, as well as a rear apron. To complete the picture, Lorinser mounted two double exhaust end tips.

The V8 engine which powers the LS460 develops 381 horsepower, which allows the vehicle to jump from naught to sixty in 5.7 seconds. Unfortunately, no major overhauling of the powerplant has yet been made, but Lorinser promises more creations are to follow on their first ever Lexus.

"The Lexus LS460 is a dynamic vehicle - after all, this five-metre flagship has a floor area equivalent to six Tatami mats and thereby as much as an average Japanese room. Thanks to a refined aerodynamic package from Sportservice Lorinser, the elegant bodywork exudes confidence," says the tuner.
