Sadly, Lexus has no future plans for the LFA model, not even for a convertible version, so we will have to live only with the 500 units built. But according to latest rumors, the automaker will put out something similar.
The Lexus LF-LC concept coupe has reportedly received the blessing from father Toyoda to enter production in a couple of years.
This 2 plus 2 coupe will come out as a light high-performance LFA successor than the SC coupe that we know from earlier. Most likely, it will house a hybrid powertrain under the hood, like the one from the GS 450h but a 4.5-liter V8 might be an option as well.
Word is that the production model LF-LC will cost about $120,000 and is expected to come out in late 2015.
