Toyota’s luxury division Lexus ranked firs in vehicle dependability among all nameplates for the third consecutive year now.
J.D Power and Associates’ Vehicle Dependability Study, which tracks the number and type of problems owners have with their three-year-old vehicles, rewarded six Lexus models for their quality, putting the brand in top spot. Toyota came on sixth while Scion got ranked 22nd.
The Lexus ES and IS models made it in top for the Compact Premium Car segment, demonstrating their long-term durability. The GS nameplate gained first place in the Midsize Premium Car, while the RX and GX took the first positions in the Midsize Premium CUV. Lexus’ flagship sedan LS was also number one in the Large Premium Car class.
