Le Mans 24 Hours Entry List Revealed

This year’s entry list for the Le Mans 24 Hour race has been revealed earlier today, and out of the 55 places 21 will be filled by LMP1 cars. In the LMP1 class, Peugeot, last year’s winner, will enter this year's event on a three-car effort. As teams only had to register one driver per car, Peugeot until now confirmed only Alexander Wurz, Nicolas Minassian and Sebastien Bourdais.

Audi, which will compete with three cars announced its complete line up: Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Dindo Capello remain together; Mike Rockenfeller, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas in a second car; Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer in the third.

The Aston Martin factory team will enter two cars, and confirmed Darren Turner and Harold Primat behind the wheel. After last year’s absence, the Dome team is coming back to Le Mans, listing Sebastien Philippe as their only driver.

ORECA will run one of its own cars and a customer Peugeot 908, Signaure-Plus will use a customer Aston Martin, Kolles will run two Audi R10 TDIs, Pescarolo listed one car and Sora Racing will bring a self-prepared Pescarolo to the table as well. Lola is represented by Drayson Racing, Rebellion Racing with two cars and Autocon. A Ginetta-Zytek will be driven by Nigel Mansell and his two sons.

The LMP2 class:
  • Highcroft Racing will run a Acura driven by David Brabham
  • Strakka Racing will run a Acura
  • Pescarolo will be represented by Oak Racing with two cars
  • RML and Racing Box will use Lolas
  • Quifel-ASM and Bruichladdich will run Ginetta-Zyteks
  • Gerard Welter/Salini will run its WR-Zytek

The GT1 class:
  • Three Corvettes from Alphand
  • One Corvette from Peka Racing
  • Two Ford GTs from Match Competition and Marc VDS
  • One Saleen from Larbre Competition
  • One Aston Martin from Young Driver AMR
  • One Lamborghini from JLOC

The GT2 class:
  • Two cars from BMW
  • One Jaguar XKR from RSR
  • Two factory Corvettes
  • Six Ferraris: two from Risi Competizione and one each from Modena, Farnbacher, AF Corse and BMS Scuderia
  • Three Porsches from Prospeed, IMSA and Flying Lizards
  • One Spyker
