There are certain aficionados out there who were less than happy when Lamborghini introduced the Urus. And we're not referring to purists, as the late 1980s introduction of the LM002 paved the way for the Urus, so there weren't too many complains about this affecting the Raging Bull spirit (after all, we mustn't forget that Lamborghini built tractors before moving on the rivaling Ferrari).
Instead, the ones that were displeased with the introduction of the Urus are Porsche Cayenne Turbo drivers. You see, there didn't use to be too many SUVs that could give the Cayenne a run for its money, but the Italian toy we're referring to can certainly be cast in that role.

The Lambo is 100 hp more powerful, while it also dominates the Porscha in terms of the peak torque, so Zuffenhausen aficionados have plenty of reasons to be worried. Of course, the Cayenne range is topped by the 680 hp Turbo S E-Hybrid, whose output one-ups that of the Urus, but the extra weight of the hybrid system means this is another story for another time.

Returning to the internal combustion-only battle between the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Lamborghini Urus, we've brought along a piece of footage that shows how the two behave.

No, this isn't a drag race per se, but an acceleration comparison, with the super-SUVs having been hooned on different occasions. Nevertheless, with Launch Control being used and a camera capturing the instrument panel action, this is the kind of video that will keep you on your toes.

Note that, as the two get closer to 300 km/h (make that 186 mph), the velocity gap between them becomes considerably smaller. And, given the fact that the Urus costs a whole sportscar more than the Cayenne Turbo, this is no small feat on the Porsche's side.
