The Taiwanese branch of Kymco shows a promotional video of the new Kymco Xciting 500 R maxi scooter.
Still there is little available data about this Taiwan model and until further notice form the manufacturer, nobody seems to know whether it differs from the US version.
The 2012 Kymco Xciting 500 R retailing in the US comes with a 499cc engine and packs no less than 38 BHP. The ABS version is equipped with an anti-lock Bosch system for better braking in difficult road conditions. Kymco Xciting 500 R sports dual front disc and single-disc rear brakes.
The dashboard is quite comprehensive and offer info via speedometer, tachometer, odometer, a multi-function trip meter and fuel/ temperature indicators. The rear shock comes with 5-position adjustment and the underseat storage space is lighted.
