Kumho Tires Well Seen in the UK

Kumho Tires is enjoying an excellent reputation in the UK, as the company’s products are the first brand recommendation of Britain’s local independent tire specialists, as shown in a study released by market analysts Encircle Marketing.

The research, conducted between December 2009 and February 2010, shows that Kumho tires registered a 5.6 percent of first recommendation, a figure that is more than double than that posted by some traditional household-name brands.

The survey also indicates that the company’s 4x4 tires have registered good results, being the third most likely products to be recommended first by independents, behind Bridgestone and Pirelli.

These results are extremely rewarding for us. Dealers’ reputations are all important to them and they don’t recommend products unless they really believe in them. Moreover this news comes on the heels of a string of positive press tests and industry awards for our tires. These accolades show we continue to gain ground against the more established brands and are providing products that the market wants,” said a Kumho Tires spokesman.

The data is based on an ongoing and large scale marketing survey conducted by Encircle Marketing. The survey targeted the complete range of UK tire distribution channels, with the data being focused on recommendations and pricing information.

It is widely accepted that dealer recommendation has considerable bearing on customer choice, as tires are a highly technical product and customers generally rely on dealer advice regarding the relative performance, safety, wear and environmental credentials of the multitude of brands now available on the UK market,” stated the press release.
