Here's a nifty design exercise from Luca Bar, the (pretty please, KTM, build it) sport version of the 690 Duke, the RC4.
KTM is brewing a lot of new bikes for 2013 and 2014, and they're not at all shy: they are equally eager to expand their family of big bikes as they're also delving deeper into creating new versions for the middleweight and heavier machines.
While we have knowledge on some plans for the small machines, we can only hope that the orange guys are also secretly working on a bike such as the RC4 imagined by Luca Bar. Having a sport thumper in the aggressive KTM RC livery would be extremely cool, and would also fill in the gap between the bike segments.
We just know there are a lot of riders dreaming of a supersport one-cylinder alternative to the CBR600, Ninja ZX-6R or R6 machines. And given KTM's expertise in bike-building, we might expect nothing short of spectacular with the RC4. The 690 Duke is already a great bike and all that's needed is some engine tuning and a sportier gearbox, for you see, the fairing's already looking awesome! Via Asphalt and Rubber.
