Kroyman’s Ferrari Collection Sold

Whoever thought that the recession will not affect luxury car dealers was dead wrong. Unfortunately, due to the sales drop, a lot of dealers from around the world were forced to close down their factories. Such a situation also occurred at Kroymans, a company that was founded in 1902 and was the exclusive Ferrari Distributor in Holland. The business, which was worth $3 billion, had to file for bankruptcy in early 2009.

The company held one of the most important collections of vintage and collector Ferraris in the world. The collection was saved from bankruptcy wreckage and sold by Hamann Classic Cars of Greenwich, Connecticut to an American. So the entire collection is now owned by a single guy.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the salvation of this very important collection of vintage Ferraris,” said Thomas Hamann, Owner of Hamann Classic Cars and Chairman of the New York City Concours d’Elegance, who brokered the deal between the European banks and Tom Price, a prominent classic car collector from Northern California.

Classic car experts and collectors all agree that this is one of the most important sale of classic car Ferraris within the last twenty years. The classic Ferrari collection included:

The car collection from Holland will now be moved to the US.
