When he’s not acting stupidly, dressing as an arab sheik and posing next to his most expensive vehicles, such as the Bugatti Veyron and a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Kourtney Kardashian’s hubby, Scott Disick is searching for his future wheel. It was teasing his favorite auto shop this time, with the beautiful BMW i8.
If there is one car in this world that will have your attention seconds after seeing it, that is BMW’s plug-in hybrid sports car, the i8. Deliveries to retail customers in the U.S. began less than six months ago, but that’s already too much for LA inhabitants to resist, so it was only normal a member of the Kardashian clan would be next in line at getting one for themselves.
Praise you Elon Musk, Toyota, BMW or whoever had the idea of insufflating the hybrid car into celebrities’ culture. With this move, all those rich actors, posh singers and famous reality television hosts finally do something worth mentioning, that could actually bring some good into this world.
The BMW i8 can go from 0-100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 4.4. seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h (160 mph). This might not be as fast as the Bugatti Veyron Disick loves bragging about so much, but as opposed to the French supercar, the Germans also thought about saving at least some of the planet’s health for our kids to be able to breath without a mask in the future years to come.
The BMW i8 has a fuel efficiency of 2.1 liter/100km (112.0 mpg) under the NEDC test with carbon emissions of 49 g/km. EPA rated the car’s combined fuel economy at 76 equivalent (MPG-equivalent) (3.1-liter gasoline equivalent/100 km; 91 mpg-imp gasoline equivalent).
What we’re trying to say here, is: yes, Scotty boy, please buy an i8 for yourself and the family, it’s totally worth it.
