Korean GP Virtual Lap by Mark Webber

Needless to say, once the F1 trailers will get to Yeongam for the inaugural Korean F1 Grand Prix, everybody will be surprised. And it won't be because the Koreans have just finalized work on their brand new track, but because nobody has a clue on how the F1 cars will behave on the 5.6km circuit.

What we knew until a few hours ago was that the Korean GP will be held on the Yeongam track and will last for 55 laps. That was until Red Bull veteran driver and current leader of the F1 classification Mark Webber decided to give us, the fans, a more inside look on what to expect two weekends from now.

The Milton Keynes based team launched a three-minute video forecast of the Korean race, in which Webber introduces us to the new circuit and does a full virtual lap alongside his teammate Sebastian Vettel.

Five slow turns, three high-speed stretches, two good spots for overtaking,” previews Webber at the beginning of the video. “The last section is kind of a city circuit, with all the architects plans being realized in the future,” added the Australian.

After the start, prepare for the double left. Turn 1, watch the inside. Keep the speed up and accelerate early. A good exit is crucial to race full speed on the longest high-speed stretch in Korea,” further explains Webber, while adding that a good overtaking spot is provided at the end of the first long stretch, before the slowest portion of the circuit.

But enough with that, we'll let you enjoy the video and find out more about this track, including the tips from the man who can very well become the next world champion.
