Kia UK is debuting a special initiative in preparation for the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup, an event for which the automaker is an Official Partner. The company is offering anyone who enters a free prize draw at one of its dealerships the chance to win a new Kia Soul.
“Whilst not everyone in the UK may have a football team to cheer in this summer’s World Cup, they do all have the chance to win a new Kia Soul,” the press release read.
The prize draw starts today and ends on July 11, with over 150 Kia dealers taking part in the project. The competition winner will be announced on July 19.
“Soul is an energetic car, full of character, so it seemed a perfect match for the passion that surrounds the World Cup. We’re proud to be official partners of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and are sure this competition will be popular with everyone, be they a fan of the beautiful game or simply interested in winning a fantastic car,” said Michael Cole, Managing Director for Kia Motors UK, commenting on the launch of the World Cup price draw.
Introduced on the British market in February last year, the Soul is available with a 1.6 liter petrol engine or with a 1.6 liter diesel unit. The vehicle’s standard features list includes air conditioning, six airbags and electronic stability control. The car comes with a five star Euro NCAP rating and has a starting price of 11,500 pounds.
