Kia released the first sketches of the new domestic market compact sedan at the beginning of the week, and the internet has not stopped buzzing since then. It’s going to be known as the K3 sedan in Korea, where it will be available in October.
Next year, it will become available as the Forte in the US, replacing the drab and dreary model is currently offered as a 2013 model year. In other markets, such as Australia and parts of Asia, it will be know as the Cerato.
But let’s talk for a second here. New real life photos have begun emerging onto the internet, and we’ve discovered they were screenshots from video we found on youtube. This shows the K3 in what appears to be a Korean shopping mall. It’s hidden inside a box... of boxes, and the cameraman is quite easily able to check out details like the headlight, which touch the grille, or the rear character lines.
It’s an amazingly well styled car, even if it’s a bit overdone. We also managed to find a photo of the whole car taken from a distance. From the strange foglights to the chrome, it’s filled with character.
